I met Danielle in 2018. She was selling pretty glitter pens in all colours, and gradually started to stock lots more different items.
When Danielle’s business was growing she approached me about a magazine ad in Simply Lettering. She wanted a half page ad to show off lots of her stock and entice new customers. She also wanted me to photograph her new Christmas advent stationery subscription box.
So she came down to my studio and we spent a creative afternoon with all her stationery bits and pieces. Initially Danielle had done a lot of her own product photography. She had bought some pretty backgrounds and some lighting and she had churned out some nice images for instagram. But she wanted a consistent, high standard of imagery and also she needed to claim some of her time back so she could build the business rather than spending time doing tasks that she could outsource.
After we worked together a few times, Danielle found that her engagement was going up and sales were too. It’s a good mix of her spending more time marketing and selling, and also the quality of the branded imagery we were producing. So she was keen to set an ongoing account with me.
I created a package that fitted in with her budget so now she can manage her cash flow better too. Under The Rowan Trees has now developed a monthly subscription box, and so she posts out the box to me each month, and I take a selection of images; The full box of goodies, then also close ups of the individual items included. This not only gives her professional product photography on her website but also lots of content for social media posts too.
Each box has a theme, and they are all different. So I style it according to that theme but also with the UTRT branding in mind. It’s great to see Under The Rowan Trees go from strength to strength.
